Ms. Agnes Josephine Arnone
Agnes J. Arnone of Malden, formerly of Brookline, passed away on April 18, 2012 in the Whidden Hospital in Everett, she was 77. Born in Boston on February 15, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Paul V. Arnone, Sr. and Catherine (Deering) Arnone. Agnes was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School with the Class of 1953. Agnes worked for many years in Chestnut Hill for Brookline Bank, enduring all the changes the bank had seen. She finally retired in 1996 as the branch's manager. Agnes was a past member of the Emblem Club as well as the Brookline Elks.
Agnes is survived by her six brothers, Paul V. Arnone, Jr. of Malden, Joseph R. Arnone of Wakefield, NH, Vincent W. Arnone of Malden, Harry T. Arnone of Hadley, MA, Robert B. Arnone Woodstock, GA, and John W. Arnone of Swanzey, NH as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her brother, Peter D. Arnone.
A memorial service Agnes will be held in the Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 12 Noon. Family friends are invited to gather in the funeral home from 10:30 AM to 12 noon for a visitation period. Fr. Frank Cloherty will be officiating services.
