Helene (Pallo) Murphy

Helene Murphy (Pallo), died Wednesday evening, August 24, 2011 at Life Care Center of Stoneham, after a short illness, she was 75. Helene was born in Newark, NJ one of five children of George J. & Alice (Conklin) Pallo.

Helene was educated in Newark, NJ. After her schooling she would later meet the love of her life Daniel P. "Dan" Murphy. The couple married in New Jersey in 1954 and later moved to Malden, MA and started a family.

In her early years, Helene worked as saleswomen at the former Jordan Marsh Department Store in Malden and later in the Somerville store. Helene was a loving mother and cherished grandmother & great-grandmother, she enjoyed family gathering and loved cooking at the holidays. She enjoyed her shopping with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Karen A. Dello Russo of Saugus, her loving son's Thomas A. Murphy of Malden, Daniel P. Murphy of Saugus, Michael G. Murphy of Malden. Her six cherished grandchildren, Tommy Jr., Nathan, Daniel III, Kristen, and Ally, one great-grandson, Thomas A. Murphy III. Helene is the sister of Mary Mitchell, George Pallo and Edward Pallo all of Key Port, NJ, and Michael Pallo of Middletown, NJ.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Daniel "Dan" Murphy, her father George Pallo, her mother Alice Pallo and her late granddaughter Jennifer Murphy.

Visiting hours will be held one hour prior to the funeral Mass in the Weir-Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Monday from 9:15- 10:15 AM.

Funeral will be held from the Weir-Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10:30 AM.

Interment to follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
