Pamela M. Gillis (Chingris), 69, of Malden passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 30th, 2025. The daughter of the late John and Ruth Chingris, Pamela was born and raised in Malden, graduating from Malden High in 1974 and was a member of the high school band. Pam was a caring and giving person to everyone. She loved horseback riding, singing Karaoke and was an active member with her theatre church family acting and singing in the Easter and Christmas holiday musicals. She was the beloved wife of Mark Gillis, and the devoted matriarch to their large blended family. During her free time she loved theatre, listening to country music, enjoyed doing puzzles and cooking, but especially loved spending time with her family.
Pamela is survived by her husband of 23 years Mark Gillis, her sister Valerie Gertz and husband Ed, her children Melonie Moniz and fiancé Tim, Desiree Moniz, Nick Moniz, Jimmy Moniz and fiancé Tiffany and Selena Alfaro, step-children Jason Gillis, Jennifer Viveiros and husband Rich, Justin Gillis and wife Courtney, Joshua Gillis and wife Shannyn, grandchildren Catalina, Jacoby, Destiny, Arianna and Aubrey, step-grandchildren Jessica, Jordan, Jianna, Jenesis, Joshua Jr, Jacob, Jayce and Ashlyn, great-grandchild Maelani, her lifelong friend Debbie Smith and her companion dog Jake, as well as many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her step-daughter Jessica Gillis and mother-in-law Lorraine Gillis Mullen and her husband Walter.
A celebration of her life is being planned for the near future at Calvary Christian Church in Lynnfield, MA.
