Patricia M. Silva

Patricia M. Silva, a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away on Tuesday, July 6th, surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born in Malden in 1935, the daughter of Ernest and Ivy Lane. She was raised and educated in Malden, graduating from Malden High School with the Class of 1953. In 1956, she married her sweetheart, Manuel L. Silva, and the two settled down in Malden to raise their family. She primarily dedicated herself to the raising of their four sons, but Patricia also worked part time for many years as a teller at Baybank. She enjoyed playing keno and visiting casinos, and she loved to talk politics. Patricia was also a long time communicant of St. Joseph' Church in Malden.

She is survived by her husband Manuel, her sons, Lawrence P. Silva of Malden, Paul W. Silva and wife Gail of KY, Stephen P. Silva of Malden, and Gary C. Silva and wife Kristie of Gloucester, and her grandchildren, Daniel and Chelsea.

Funeral from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem ST, Malden on Tuesday, July 13th, at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, Malden, at 10 AM. Interment to follow in Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 12th , from 4 - 8 PM
