Patricia Winifred Teneriello

Patricia Winifred (Shields) Teneriello, 74, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. She was born in 1937 in Everett, Massachusetts the daughter of Cornelius and Marion M. (Hayden) Shields. She spent most of her childhood in Everett but had moved to Malden before graduating from Malden High School with the class of 1955. In 1959, she and her sweetheart, Ralph A. "Chickie" Teneriello were married in Sacred Hearts Church in Malden. They soon settled down in Malden to raise their family. They joined St. Josephs Church and became active members of the Parish. They shared over 47 years together until Ralphs passing in 2006. In years past, Patricia was an avid bowler, and was a member of some bowling leagues. More recently she had become active with the senior community in Malden, and enjoyed going to the Malden Senior Center in Malden Square.

Patricia is survived by her children, Ralph A. Teneriello , Jr. and wife Deborah of Malden, and Marion A. Dunn and husband Thomas of Melrose, her brother, Edward Shields of Malden, her sisters, Eudavilla Langille of Melrose, Dorothy Pizza of Malden, and Marie Shields of CT, her grandchildren, Steven Teneriello, Tammy Teneriello, Thomas Dunn Jr., Elizabeth Dunn, and Ryan Dunn, and her great-grandchild, Christopher Teneriello.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph A Teneriello Sr, her brothers Cornelius Shields and Terrance Shields, and her sister Hazel Shiel

Funeral services will be held from the Weir Funeral Home on Friday, May 27, 2011, at 8:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St, Malden, at 9AM. Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.

Visitation will be at Weir - MacCuish Funeral Home on Thursday, May 26th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
