Richard A. MacCuish Sr, a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away on Saturday, April 22nd, in Boston. Richard was born in Malden in 1939, the son of William and Elizabeth MacCuish. Richard was raised and educated in Malden. Soon after completing his education, Richard married his sweetheart, Elizabeth Nadworny. The two settled down in Malden where they raised their five children. Richard and Elizabeth shared over 63 years of marriage together. Richard had worked for American Aluminum, and then Harvey Industries, retiring about 20 years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, his children, Richard MacCuish Jr. and wife Debbie, of Lynn, John MacCuish of Saugus, Paul MacCuish and wife Maria of Peabody, and her daughter Victoria, Cheryl MacCuish of Saugus, and Kim MacCuish of Malden, his sisters, Ruth LeBlanc of Melrose, Kathy Green of VT, his grandchildren, Steven, Alicia, Tyler, Samantha, Corey, Ashley, Brandon, Brandon, and Keri, and his great grandchildren, Michael and Colton.
Richard was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert MacCuish, Barbara James, Doris Howell, Betty Ann Walker, and Joan Boyce.
Funeral Services will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on Thursday, April 28th, at 10AM. Interment will follow in the Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 27th, from 4 – 8 PM.
