Robert B. Cogswell, a retired chemist and postal mail carrier, passed away in his home on Monday, Dec 12th. Robert was born in Winchester in 1958, the son of Robert T. and Ruth P. Cogswell. He was raised and educated in Somerville graduating from Somerville High School with the Class of 1976. He then attended Tufts University and Northeastern University, where he received his degree in Chemistry. He then moved to Pennsylvania, where he found employment with the Romas Haas Company. After many years, he returned to the Boston area, and joined the US Postal Service and worked as a Mail Carrier in the area for 30 years until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed working with his hands and was an accomplished wood worker.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth P Cogswell.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert T. Cogswell, and his sister, Betsy A. Carman.
Private services will be held at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
