Robert A. Rogodzinski, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 6th. Robert was born in Cambridge in 1958, the son of Adam and Florence Rogodzinski. He was raised and educated in Norwood, graduating from Norwood High School with the Class of 1976. He then attended the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, graduating with a degree in Marine Transportation. He served for many years with the US Naval Reserves, before serving full time for 2 years after the events of 9/11. Robert went on to be a Government Contractor for the Coast Guard, working out of Washington DC for 16 years. He had retired in 2020. Robert enjoyed listening to the Beatles, watching sports, and maintaining his yard and garden.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta (Perrone) Rogodzinski, his children, Andrew Rogodzinski, Laura Rogodzinski, and Amanda Rogodzinski, all of Malden, his sisters, Nancy Malinowski and husband Paul of Norwood, and Dianne Winiarz and her husband Timothy of Norton, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home on Thursday, July 11th, at 10 AM
