Rosemary Bellavia Obituary

Rosemary (Alves) Bellavia, 94, of Malden passed away on June 15, 2026. She was born and raised in Cambridge Massachusetts and later made her home in Malden, where she and her husband, Carmelo, raised their family. They shared over 60 happy years together until his passing in 2016. Rosemary will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and second mother to the neighborhood kids. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Rosemary is survived by her son Francis and his wife, Gerri, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, her son Robert and his wife, Laura, of Narragansett, Rhode Island and her son Stephen Bellavia of Malden, Massachusetts. Her grandchildren Lisa Bellavia, Stephen Bellavia, Michelle Bellavia Stairs, Gianna Bellavia, Tessa Bellavia, and Alayna Bellavia. Her great-grandchildren: Abigail Bellavia and Lucas Bellavia as well as many other loving family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Rosemary was predeceased by her sister, Helen Duke.

Visitation will be held at the Weir -MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on Wednesday June 17th from 4-8 pm, a Mass will take place at Sacred Hearts Church in Malden June 18th at 10 AM Interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
