Spyridon Romvos of Malden passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on November 9, 2025 - the feast day of Saint Nektarios.
Born in Piraeus, Greece, in 1938, Spyridon immigrated to the United States at the age of nine. Son of the late Marcos and Athanasia Romvos, Spyridon and his siblings, Constantin, Harry and Bessie, were raised in Boston's South End.
After serving in the United States Army, Spyridon married the love of his life, Christodouli Romvos (nee Boukouvalas), with whom he was married for 63 years.
Spyridon worked at Bank of Boston and later Bank of America. After retiring from Bank of America, he and Christodouli spent time in Greece. When he and Christodouli returned to Malden, Spyridon later worked at Portal To Hope as a Greek language translator for survivors of domestic violence crime.
Spyridon is lovingly remembered by his children.and their spouses: Marcos and Suzanne Romvos; and George and Deborah Fallon Romvos. He, also, leaves behind his granddaughter, Olivia Romvos.
Services for Spyridon will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Spyridon's memory may be made to St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 15 Union Park Street, Boston, MA, 02118, where he was a member, or to the charity of one's choice.
