Theresa I. (Brown) Sanford

Theresa I. (Brown) Sanford, a longtime resident of Peabody, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, with her loving family by her side.  Theresa was born in Springfield in 1938, the daughter of Raymond and Elma Brown.  She was raised and educated  in New Bedford, graduating with the Class of 1956.  She married her sweetheart, Herbert Sanford, in 1980, and the two settled down together.  They shared 36 years of marriage until Herberts passing in 2017. Theresa was an avid reader, and she also enjoyed coloring, playing cribbage and Yahtzee.

She is survived by her children,  Scott Austin of Medford, and Sheri Zamora of Peabody, as well as her grandchildren, Lanessa of Peabody and Carlos of Melrose, and her great grandson, Cameron. 

Funeral services will be held at the Chapel at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St, Everett MA on Monday, June 9th, at 10 AM.  Committal will be private.
