Valeria (Manganiello) Lafrazia

Valeria LaFrazia, of Saugus MA passed away March 4th 2025. The daughter of Rafael Manganiello and Anna Barletta. Valeria was born and raised in Dentecane Italy where she married Antonio LaFrazia before migrating to Argentina to raise her family.  After many years in Argentina, they joined their extended family in the United States and enjoyed many happy years together until Antonio’s passing in 2016.   She was very proud of her vegetable garden.  She enjoyed reading her bible, knitting and crocheting, but mostly proud of the years she spent helping to raise her beloved grandchildren.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always ready at a moment’s notice if asked to go out and have a good time.   

Valeria is survived by her children Carmelo LaFrazia and wife Sandra of Winthrop, Rafael LaFrazia and wife Leandra of Saugus, and Marcello LaFrazia and partner Analia of Argentina; her grandchildren Michelle Lane and husband Andrew, Jennifer LaFrazia, Christopher Murray and wife Ashely, Vanessa Grascia and husband Andrew and Sergio LaFrazia; great grandchildren Andrew and Adelina Lane and Alessia Grascia; as well as many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Antonio LaFrazia, her son Carmelo LaFrazia and her siblings Angelina DeNisco, Brillanda Lombardi, Maria DeNisco, Anna LaFrazia, Assunta Manganiello.

Visitation for Valeria will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem ST. Malden on Saturday March 8th at 8:30 am with a Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Malden at 10 am followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.  For those who wish, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Valeria’s name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
